There are a beautiful group of dogs owners on the north side of Sydney. As you will see below, their babes were puppies together and have now reached their senior years. Sadly, they have started to pass, and as each angel moves on, this amazing group collect on their behalf of their lost, loved and treasured babe. They collect to donate to Rocky’s, in the hope that the loss of the loved one can make a new life possible for another. Today we received a cheque for $530.00 We are blown away by their love and kindness at their time of grief.
Today, we honour Henry – his photo says it all. A darling man, a life full of giving and receiving love. A wonderful companion. Thank you guys for helping make it possible for another babe to have the life they truly deserve. Your generosity takes our breath away. Thank you, with our love and thanks, Rocky’s K9 Rescue.
See below the letter we received…
Yet again it is that sad time of year when one of us has to farewell their loved and treasured mate. This time we have collected some money on behalf of Henry, adored companion of Jenny and part of a pack of doggie friends at our local park. Jenny met Henry when he was only 8 weeks old and together they have shared much love and many memories, yet as always with animals, Henry gave back more than he received.
Back in September of last year we donated some money in memory of my beloved and sadly missed little girl Spike and also again in December in memory of Robbie. Unfortunately, as all our babies were puppies together, they are now all entering their twilight years and 2013 and now 2014 are proving to be miserable times.
As we gaze into their greying faces, with their sometimes confused expressions and watch their unsteady gait we know that our time with them is limited and therefore must make every moment count. Every cuddle and lick is precious and our walks together remembered.
For Henry, we would like to give you $530.00 so that you may continue to rescue dogs in the hope that they can enjoy a life full of love and happiness as we all know they thoroughly deserve.
One of your rescue dogs, Zoe, is now a member of our dog park crowd and feeling quite at home. A success story for sure.
Keep up the marvellous work,
